Fun fact No. 9: The next island we will set foot on during our Yoga and Sailing Retreat is an island where the name says it all: Rab. Its name comes from the Illyrian word “arb” which means “green and densley wooded”. This flourishing and diverse island has attracted visitors from all over the world; even King Edward VIII came here for a swim in 1936.
Fun fact No. 10: Our team at Carpe Diem Yoga is carefully choosing the destinations for our Yoga and Sailing Retreats.
This is why our second to last stop on this remarkable journey is the little town of Punat on the island Krk. Punat is renowned for its spectacular beauty and its delicious olive oil.
Fun fact No. 11: As our little fun fact series is now coming to an end, I would like to thank you for your kind comments and anyone who has booked at Yoga and Sailing Retreat with us so far. That really means a lot to us and we cannot wait to embark on this journey with you!
Before we make our way back to Medulin, we will be stopping off at Cres, one of the largest islands in the Adriatic sea. This island is inhabited by a special bird species, the Eurasian griffon. I suggest that you have a camera at hand when exploring this island, as these birds are used to contact with humans and therefore you might be able to get a good shot of them.
Sometimes good things come to an end, but fortunately we offer more than one Yoga and Sailing Retreat.
